Best Places to See Christmas Lights in Sarasota - 2022

‘Tis the season for the holidays and Sarasota is proud of its holiday spirit, as well as its light displays.  There are a number of places where you can see dazzling displays that both young and old will delight in.  We’ve made our list, and checked it twice, to bring you the best places to see Christmas lights in Sarasota.

University Town Center

Nightly until January 6th

Located at I-75 and University Parkway

University Town Center (UTC) is a great place to see more than four million lights and holiday décor.  You can also go ice skating and take a horse-drawn carriage ride.  There are nightly light shows and movies under the stars on Friday and Saturday nights.  There are even fireworks every Saturday night at 9 pm.  Of course, there are also plenty of shops for finding the right gifts and over 100 eateries and restaurants, some offering special holiday treats.

Enander’s Winter Wonderland

2281 Mission Valley Blvd., Nokomis, 34275

From December 10th until January 1st

This is a family-run display with more than 400,000 lights and accompanying music to dance to.  It is free to stroll from 6 pm to 10 pm.  Please keep in mind: parking on Mission Valley Blvd. can sometimes be challenging, so families may have to walk a distance, especially on weekends.

Cedar Hollow Christmas Display

On Cedar Hollow North in Sarasota

Every night from 5:30 to 1 am

Many proclaim this to be the best neighborhood display in the Greater Sarasota area.  Many homes participate the road is covered with lighted arches.

Colonial Gables

There are many over-the-top displays throughout this Sarasota neighborhood.  On some streets, it appears that residents have fun trying to outdo their neighbors.  The results are definitely worth a look.  To find the Colonial Gables neighborhood, take Woodmont Dr. off Bee Ridge Rd. or take Brookmeade Dr. to the east off Honore Ave. in Sarasota.

St. Armands Circle Winter Spectacular

On display now through January 3rd

Tickets are on sale here.

The park at St. Armands Circle is transformed into a winter wonderland.  Visitors can enjoy an amazing display of holiday lights and a 60-foot Christmas tree.  There are also interactive holiday activities and local entertainment.

Marie Selby Gardens Lights in Bloom

Select nights from December 10th to January 5th, 6:30pm to 9pm

Guests can experience more than two million lights throughout the 15-acre site, including glowing tunnels and lights highlighting the plants and trees.  There are holiday activities and entertainment for the whole family.
