Best Steak Houses in Sarasota

Steak has an appeal that reaches beyond an ordinary piece of meat.  Steak may not be healthy, inexpensive, or exotic – that’s not the point.  People order a steak in restaurants because of how it makes them feel.  A steak is savored.  It is satisfying.  It is unequaled among the meats.  It is the choice meat of celebrations and accomplishments.  Yeah, steak is all that and more.

When you have an appetite that only a juicy steak can conquer, it’s time to steer the wagon toward one of the best steak houses in Sarasota.

This cozy steakhouse, located just minutes from Siesta Key, is known for traditional steaks like their popular 36-day dry-aged bone-in ribeye and classic and nouveau styles like Steak ala Oscar, Steak au Poivre, and Tounedos au Bleu.  Hyde Park features a fireplace for cool evenings and a covered outdoor dining terrace with a sidewalk café atmosphere.

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse

Ruth’s Chris serves the finest cuts of USDA prime beef available, cooked in an 1800-degree custom broiler, seasoned just right, then served on a 500-degree sizzling plate.  Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse has always been known for impeccable customer service and their Sarasota location is no exception.

The Alpine Steakhouse & Butcher Shop

4520 S Tamiami Trl, Sarasota 34231

(941) 922-3797

https://www.alpinesteak.com/

While this may not look like your typical steakhouse, looks can be deceiving.  This quaint little butcher shop, restaurant, and small specialty grocery is Sarasota’s only old-fashioned restaurant and meat market.  The father-son team prides itself on knowing more about beef than anyone else, and it’s hard to argue that fact.  It is also impressive that virtually nothing comes out of a box or is shrink-wrapped.  Everything is homemade from scratch.  The restaurant features prime dry-aged steaks as well as seafood, chicken, lamb, and crab cakes, along with Japanese Kobe burgers, cheese steaks, and German specialties.  They also serve fine wines and more than sixty imported beers.

When you are hungry for a steak, no other meat will do.  It’s nice to know that Sarasota has some amazing steakhouses and they are all ready to serve up that thick, juicy steak just the way you like it.
